Environment and Sustainability Policy

Troy (UK) Ltd as a company recognises that there are many aspects of its activities that have impacts on the environment and sustainability. The Company is committed to reduce any adverse effects of these impacts by implementing a programme of continuous improvement. Troy UK is committed to:-

Establishing, implementing and maintaining an Environmental Management System and Environment Policy to manage the environmental impacts of Troy (UK) activities, products and services. Including a commitment to provide for the setting, monitoring and revision of Environmental objectives.

 

Comply with all relevant environmental legislation.

 

Regularly monitor, inspect, audit and review our environmental performance and revise our Systems as necessary to ensure we achieve our objectives for continuous improvement.

 

Improving the company’s environmental awareness by education and training employees at all levels in environmental issues and the environmental effects of their activities. Making resources available to ensure that this policy is fully implemented and participate in discussions about environmental issues.

 

Planning and designing to use materials more efficiently and reduce the emissions of waste, assess the environmental impact of all historic, current and likely future operations, including efficient use of energy supplies, fuel and miles per gallon. To consider alternative environmentally efficient power sources that are economical and suitable. 

 

Developing buildings, plant and machinery to give the best performance with minimal environmental impact.

Using timber from sustainable managed forests.

 

Minimising the risk of environmental accidents by assessing all possible risks and implementing emergency plans to cover them.

 

Ensuring that waste is segregated and recycled to minimise waste. Making efficient use of energy and water wherever possible.

 

Communicating our environmental commitment and attainments to clients, customers and the public and encourage them to support it.

 

Avoiding unnecessary use of hazardous materials and products, seek substitutions when feasible, and take all reasonable steps to protect human health and the environment when such materials must be used, stored and disposed of.

 

Reduce where possible noise disturbances to neighbours, monitor regularly and encourage the reduction of noise from all

sources.
